Establish a routine
Establishing a routine is one of the most important parts of conducting a thorough pre or post trip inspection. DOT Compliance will work with your driver(s) to assist them in establishing their own routine and issue handouts to aid them when their doing it on their own.
Items to inspect
DOT Compliance will work with your driver(s) to learn the parts necessary required to be looked at during a pre and post trip inspection. Along with the discussion, drivers will be given lists of parts so that they can establish their own routine to cover all necessary inspection points.
Communicating deficiencies
Once the PTI is completed, drivers are directed to follow company policy in documenting these deficiencies as well as planning to conduct the repairs. During this training, drivers are also guided toward a general understanding of parts necessary for "safe operation"
One on One ~OR~ Group Training Available
DOT Compliance has and will continue to conduct individual training for drivers in need or group training. DOT Compliance is confident that any driver, regardless of experience, will leave with a better understanding of the PTI process.
